Afgelopen zaterdag plukten honderden klanten van Albert Heijn op de AH Appelplukdag de appel SPRANK. Klanten namen een kijkje op het erf van een aantal van de Beter voor Natuur & Boer-telers, maakten kennis met de appeltelers en plukten en proefden zelf de appels.

Recently, Fresh Forward Breeding has joined the partnership Breeding Accel. Breeding Accel was founded in 2014, when KP Holland, Schoneveld Breeding, Sion Orchids and Interplant Roses joined forces in order to minimalize the “Time to Market” for new products. By joining Breeding Accel, Fresh Forward gains access to the knowledge and facilities of the Breeding Accel partners concerning the cell biological elements of breeding.
The new strawberry varietyto emerge from Fresh Forward’s Northern European breeding programme was named "Verdi".Verdi is a mid-early, June bearing variety, characterised by a healthy crop oflong, conical fruits with a distinct taste.
