Fresh Forward Marketing BV & Fresh Forward Breeding BV, hereinafter referred to as “Fresh Forward”, is active in the breeding and development of new fruit varieties, with a particular focus on strawberries and apples. For these new fruit varieties, license agreements are concluded with plant propagators and fruit growers, so that these plant propagators and fruit growers are granted the right to trial, cultivate and/or sell propagating material and fruit of these varieties. This means that we are obliged to process personal data. We handle this personal data as confidentially as possible. This privacy statement explains which personal data we collect and process, what we use this data for and your rights regarding this personal data.
Personal data we collect
We only request and process the personal data that is necessary for the purpose of performing our activities. Depending on the purpose of the aforementioned activities, this involves the following personal data:
- Initials, first name and surname
- To enter into agreements and to perform activities relating to these agreements. For example, we use your name, telephone number and e-mail address to contact you about granting licenses, concluding test agreements, etc ..
- To send you newsletters, if you have subscribed.
What we use personal data for
We process personal data for the following purposes:
We do not store personal data longer than is necessary for the purpose of data processing. This means that we store personal data as long as necessary to perform the requested activities and comply with the agreements. An exception is when we are required by law to store personal data for a longer retention period.
How we protect personal data
The personal data is stored on secure servers. We also take appropriate security measures to prevent misuse and unauthorised access to your personal data. In this way we ensure that only the necessary persons have access to the personal data, that access to the data is protected and that our security measures are regularly monitored.
Disclosing personal data to third parties
We do not disclose personal data to other parties (third parties), unless this is necessary for the performance of the agreement and/or our activities or is obliged by law.
We may also be required to disclose personal data, for example based on a court order or when reporting a criminal offence.
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data. In addition, you have the right to withdraw your consent to data processing and to object to the processing of your personal data by Fresh Forward and you have the right to data portability. This means that you can submit a request to us to send the personal data that we hold about you in a computer file to you or another organisation specified by you. You can submit a request for access, correction, deletion, data transfer of your personal data or submit a request withdrawing your consent or objecting to the processing of your personal data by e-mail.

We are naturally willing to help you if you have a complaint about the processing of your personal data. If we are unable to reach a satisfactory conclusion together, on the grounds of privacy legislation you are also entitled to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority. Changes to this privacy statement
This privacy statement may be changed or modified by Fresh Forward. The modified privacy statement is valid from the date of publication on the Fresh Forward website.
