On Thursday 17 and Friday 18 August 2017, the partners of the trial garden are organising two open days at Proeftuin Randwijk. On 17 August, the annual open day will be held. This day is as always aimed at Dutch and Belgian visitors. On 18 August, Proeftuin Randwijk organises its first open day for international colleagues. The organisation expects more than 600 visitors over the two days.
Programme 17 August
On 17 August, the programme consists of a combination of guided tours, demonstrations and a business market.
In the afternoon, there will be guided tours with attention for various themes. Among other things, attention will be paid to the organic cultivation of Natyra® under nets, the cultivation of slurry and watering systems. Attention will also be paid to different mutants and varieties of both apples and pears. In the evening, demonstrations will be given of emission limiting techniques and of the Fruit 4.0 project, which uses relatively simple camera techniques to develop methods for monitoring blossom and fruit development. During the breaks, it is possible to visit the company market while enjoying a snack and a drink. The activities end around 20.15 hrs, after which there will be a pleasant networking reception.

Programme 18 August
The programme of the International Open Day is similar to that of 17 August, with the understanding that there will be comparatively more attention for apple cultivation. The Open Day for foreign companies starts at 10.00 and lasts until 17.00. The official languages on 18 August are German and English.
Admission fee:
For supporters and sponsors of the experimental garden, admission is free on both days. For others, there is an admission charge of € 20 on 17 August. For the international open day on 18 August, there is an admission charge of €50.
The entrance fee includes a snack and a drink on both days.
